ORDER

Mr.M.Sathish Kumar, Revenue Divisional Officer, Central Chennai Division, Chennai District is suo motu impleaded as the second respondent in this Contempt Petition.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Selvendran learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the newly impleaded respondent has brought to the notice of this Court that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Central Chennai Division has passed an order on 29.07.2025 rejecting the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta for the property.

3. Though the order has been passed with some delay, as there has been a subsequent compliance, I am not inclined to initiate contempt as against the Revenue Divisional Officer. Insofar as the construction work is concerned, the first respondent / Assistant Executive Engineer Zone-11, Greater Chennai Corporation, Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam, Chennai has filed an affidavit that the Corporation is not responsible for the works going on in the petitioner's property. Hence, there is no need to initiate contempt against the said respondent. The Contempt Petition is closed.
