The refusal check slip dated 25.04.2023 returning the Settlement Deed presented by the writ petitioner is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. The order impugned reveals that the petitioner has not produced the original title document for the purpose of registering the Settlement Deed presented by the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the original title deed is not available with the petitioner and it was destroyed during fire. When the original document is said to be destroyed in a fire accident, the petitioner has to submit the certified copy of the said title document, enabling the authorities to proceed with the registration.
3. Thus, the respondent is directed to accept the certified copy of the title document, if produced by the petitioner and thereafter, proceed with the registration by following the procedures as contemplated.
4. With these directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
