This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry / investigation based upon the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a life convict, after undergoing his life sentence of 18 years, due to his good behaviour he was released from Central Prison-I, Puzhal, Chennai on 22.09.2022 as per G.O.(MS).No.541, Home Pri(IV) Department, dated 22.09.2022. Now, the petitioner is doing his carpentry work and leading his life in a peaceful manner. However, the respondents-Police continued to visit his house under the pretext of enquiry and also harassing the petitioner. Hence, the present case has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents-Police, on instructions, submitted that as on date there is no 2/4

complaint or case pending against the petitioner and also there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioner.

4. Taking note of the above fact, this Court finds that the petitioner only by apprehension has come forward with the present petition. Further, there is no iota of materials to show that the respondents/Police harassed the petitioner and hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.
