The petitioner seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 11.04.2023 and pass necessary orders.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his forefathers acted as a Hereditary Trustee of Arulmigu Veezhi Varadharaja Perumal Devasthanam situated in R.S.No.121/316, Gandhi Salai, T.R.Pattinam village, Karaikal, Puducherry. During the year 1965, the Government of Puducherry took over the administration of the temple and father of the petitioner namely P.K.S.Varadarajalu Chettiar was appointed as Chairman of the committee and the petitioner's uncle was also appointed as President of the administrative committee for some time. In these circumstances, the petitioner herein submitted a detailed representation to the 1st respondent mentioning the contribution made by the petitioner and his family members to the development of the temple. The petitioner also made request to the 1st respondent to appoint him as a Trustee of the above said temple. 2/4
3. The main grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is though the petitioner submitted his representation as early as on 11.04.2023, the same has not been considered by the 1st respondent.
4. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.04.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
