(By D.Krishnakumar,J.,) This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to dispose the representations dated 27.06.2023, 28.07.2023, 31.07.2023, 22.08.2023, 30.08.2023, 25.09.2023, 03.10.2023, 27.11.2023, 28.11.2023, 02.12.2023, 12.01.2024 and 25.01.2024 of the petitioner.

2. Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for R5, R8 & R9, Mr.V.Manoharan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for R2, R4, R6, R7 and R10, Mr.R.Vigneshwaran, learned Government Advocate for R1 and Mr.V.Gunasekar, learned Standing Counsel for R3. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that in the lands provided by the Government for freedom fighters and their legal heirs, the Government Hospital, Tiruvannamalai is dumping all dirty and rotten wastages, which causes for the spread of several diseases. Though the petitioner has submitted several representations to the 1st respondent, the last of which was dated 25.01.2024, there was inaction on the part of the 1st respondent and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court for a suitable direction. 3/6

4. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the 1st respondent, the representation dated 25.01.2024 of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders be passed.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the 1st respondent / District Collector to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 25.01.2024 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, Hospital Authorities and other aggrieved parties, if any.
