This Court, by an order dated 02.09.2022 directed the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry to dispose the case in C.C.No.499 of 2019 within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Since the said case could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this court, the court below by letter dated 25.01.2024 sought for extension of time. Hence, the matter is listed before this court today.
2. The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry submitted that after proceeding with the trial and after furnishing copies to them, the charges were framed, P.W.1 was examined. However, the documents on which P.W.1 and prosecution found that the same were not attached with 65-B certificate. Now, the prosecution taken steps to secure 65-B certificate as it is involved with volumes of documents, for which they require time. Therefore, the disposal of the case has been delayed and so, he prayed to grant further time to dispose of the case.

3. Considering the request of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry, this court is inclined to extend the time for the period of five months from the date of receipt of copy of this order to comply with the order of this court. However, time granted by this Court will not be extended after five months.
