PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to re-issue passport on the petitioner's application in File No.TR2071052697318 in pursuance of his representation dated 25.06.2018 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to re-issue the passport to the petitioner based on his application with the respondent dated 25.06.2018 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.R.Veeramani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Ramanamoorthy, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondent.

3. On instructions, the learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that F.I.R as against the petitioner has been closed and therefore, the respondent will process the application of the petitioner dated 25.06.2018 seeking for re-issuance of passport in his name within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Recording the said submission, this Court directs the respondent to process the petitioner's application dated 25.06.2018 seeking for re-issuance of his passport in the petitioner's application in File No.TR2071052697318 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
