PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to initiate suitable action against respondents 6 to 8 and consequently appoint an executive officer to take control of the Arulmigu Dharmalingeshwarasamy Temple, Madukkarai, Coimbatore on the basis of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.05.2023.

The writ petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking direction to respondents 1 to 4 to initiate action against the respondents 6 to 8 based on his representation dated 16.05.2023.

2. According to the petitioner, Arulmigu Dharmalingeshwarasamy Temple situated at Dharmalinga Malai, Madukkarai, Coimbatore is at present administered by respondents 6 to 8. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 16.05.2023 to the 2nd respondent making certain allegations of misappropriation against the respondents 6 to 8, who are incharge of the affairs of the temple.
3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the representation submitted by him is not considered by the 2nd respondent.
4. Mr.Mr.S.Yashwanth, learned Additional Government Pleader (HR & CE) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 and submits that if any direction is issued by this Court to consider the representation within a time stipulated by this Court, the same will be complied.
5. In view of the limited prayer made in this petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the 3rd 3/7
respondent, who is the jurisdictional Joint Commissioner to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.05.2023 on merits and in accordance with law after giving notice to the respondents 6 to 8 and pass final orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
