Mr.P.K.Panneerselvam, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for the records on the file of the first respondent relating to the order dated 17.03.2023 bearing reference number TN/RO/PDY/305/PDC/7Q/2024 and quash the same. 3.Though the writ petition has been filed seeking a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner now submitted that the petitioner is liable to pay a sum of Rs.65,55,617/- by way of interest on the basis of the order passed by the first respondent under Section 7Q of the EPF & MP Act, 1952. This Court may, without going into the merits of the case, permit the petitioner to remit the interest amounting to Rs.65,55,617/- in 12 equal monthly installments. 2/4

4.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, permits the petitioner to remit the interest amounting to Rs.65,55,617/- in 12 equal monthly installments, commencing from 7th May, 2025 and shall pay the installments on or before 7th of every succeeding English Calendar month, failing which, it is open to the respondents to initiate appropriate action against the petitioner in accordance with law.

5.The writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
