ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that this petitioner is an accused in Crime No.1837 of 2014 for offences under Sections 406 and 420 IPC and that, this petitioner has been released on anticipatory bail. However, the respondent police wanted to examine the petitioner for the purpose of investigation and therefore, they called the petitioner.

4. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner shall co-operate for the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
