Prayer:

Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent herein to accept the petitioner's Ph.D Degree in "Non - Interferometric Characterisation of partially coherent and scattered wavefields" from the University of Melbourne which is evaluated as equivalent to Ph.D Degree in Physics of an Indian University by the second respondent herein, for the purpose of recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Physics in Tamilnadu Collegiate Educational Service for appointment in Government Arts and Science Colleges vide the Advertisement No.4/2013 dated 28.05.2013 which was subsequently modified thrice dated 19.06.2013, 09.07.2013 and 02.08.2013 by the fourth respondent and thereby direct the fourth respondent to accept the petitioner's candidature with Roll No.1639069 and Certificate Verification No.13APD050641 for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Physics.

When the writ petition was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner made the following 2/5

endorsement in the petition:

'The petitioner submits that the prayer in the present writ petition in WP.No.7645/2014 is for a Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to accept her Ph.D Degree from the University of Melbourne which is evaluated as equivalent to the Ph.D Degree in Physics of an Indian University by the competent authority vide the proceedings dated 03.02.2014 enclosed at p80 of the typed set of papers.

The petitioner prays that the same may be taken into consideration for selection in the next selection as equivalent for recruitment to the post of Asst.Professor in Physics persuant to her application for the Advertisement No.12/2019 dated 04.10.2019 and thus render justice.'

2.Recording the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to participate in the selection process, if she had obtained the Equivalence Certificate from the competent Authority. 3/5

3.The writ petition is accordingly closed. No costs.
