Mr.K.V.Sajeev Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with necessary instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner, a company, stated to be running a hotel by the name Ambica Empire seeks a mandamus directing the Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise/R1 to dispose its application dated 28.03.2023 per Rule 24(A) of the Tamil Nadu Liquor (License and Permit) Rules, 1981.

3. Since Mr.Sajeev Kumar would accede to the receipt of the representation aforesaid and he would also have no objection to a direction being issued to R1 fixing a time frame for disposal of the same, mandamus is issued to R1 to issue notice to the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from today fixing the date of personal hearing, hear it and pass orders on the representation dated 28.03.2023 within a period of four (4) weeks from date of personal hearing, in accordance with law.
