Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from converting the public park namely "Kalaingnar Poonga" situated in S.No.127/2, Keezhkodungalur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District into a community centre and a public toilet and directing the respondents to remove the illegal construction already made therein and restore the said park to its original condition within the time that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) On hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, we do not find any material on record to substantiate the plea that the area in question is ear-marked for park. It is the allegation of the petitioner that a community centre and public toilet has been constructed on the public land.

2. The petitioner has sent a representation on 13.09.2015. Thus, at best, the concerned authorities can be asked to dispose of that representation in a time bound manner and the needful be done within a month of the receipt of the order.
