ORDER

The above application is filed for extending the mandate of the arbitral tribunal. The respondents though served had not entered appearance either through counsel or in person. The records would reveal that the proceedings before the arbitral Tribunal is pending at the stage of proof affidavit of the respondents.

2. The arbitral Tribunal had entered reference on 06.10.2017 and the period was to end on 21.07.2018. The parties had agreed for an extension by 6 months which ended in the month of January 2019. Thereafter, the applicant would submit that their bundles had been misplaced and had been traced only in the month of March 2020, which time the lock-down in view of the pandemic had been announced, which has resulted in the delay in filing the above petition.

Considering the fact that the proceedings are at the stage of respondent's evidence, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended for a further period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
