PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings held into the charge memo Na.Ka.No.AD/7/48162/2021 dated 08.01.2022 without further delay as the entire process has already been completed. ORDER

With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4

2. The limited prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings held pursuant to the charge memo dated 08.01.2022.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the enquiry has been completed and he has also given his further explanation on 30.12.2022.

4. Since almost 6 months have passed after the further explanation is submitted by the petitioner, it would be appropriate to direct the disciplinary authority to pass final orders on the petitioner's further explanation within a stipulated time, thereby securing the ends of justice.

5. In the light of the above observation, there shall be a direction to the respondent herein to pass final orders on the petitioner's further explanation dated 30.12.2022, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
