This Court vide order dated 20.12.2022 has directed the District Judge/Waqf Tribunal, Chennai to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.24 of 2020 on or before 31.06.2023 and disposed of the Civil Revision Petition with the above direction.

2. This being so, after a lapse of ten months, the Chairman/District Judge, Tamil Nadu Waqf Tribunal, Chennai - 600 005 has written a letter to the Registrar General, High Court vide D.No.122/2023, dated 27.10.2023, seeking extension of time for a period of two months in order to comply the order passed by this Court dated 20.12.2022, which is not appreciated by this Court, however, considering the reasons stated in the letter, this Court is inclined to grant two months extension to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.24 of 2020 as directed by this Court order dated 20.12.2022.

3. Registry is directed to send a copy of the order to the Chairman/District Judge, Tamil Nadu Waqf Tribunal, No.5, Kamarajar Salai, TNUHDB Annex Building, Chennai - 600 005.
