This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to alter the Section by invoking provisions under Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, (POCSO Act) and other penal provisions of law and also to expedite the investigation in Crime No.323/2016 pending on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the police have filed an alteration report in Crime No.323 of 2016, by adding the Sections 11 and 12 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, (POCSO Act).
