Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to dispose the petitioner representation 28.09.2018 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court, consequently to direct the fourth respondent Tahsildar Tirukkalukkundram to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner property situated in Tirukkalukundram Village S.No.28/1D measuring about an extent of 8 cents bounded on the Pandiyarajan back side land to Eastern Side, Gothumai Kollai Street to Western Side, Sivasubramanian & Vedhachalam land to Northern side, Saraswathi Ammal Teacher house to Southern side and grant such other further relief or reliefs as deem fit and proper to this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the fourth respondent to dispose the petition's representation dated 28.09.2018, seeking issuance of patta for the property comprised in Survey No.28/1D to an extent of 8 cents situated at Tirukkalukundram Village, Chengalpattu District.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 5, 7 to 7 submitted that in respect of the very same property, the petitioner had already been filed a suit for declaration in O.S.No.177 of 2018 on the file of the learned Principal Sub Judge, Chengalpet and the same was dismissed by the judgment and decree dated 29.07.2025. 4.

Considering the above submissions, if at all the petitioner succeeded in the civil proceedings, she can very well submit the application for issuance of patta. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be granted and the Writ Petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
