ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in FIR No.101 of 2025, on the file of D3 Ice House Police Station (Crime), Chennai and file final report/ charge sheet before the jurisdictional Magistrate within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.The petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police but the respondent police failed to register the same. Hence, the petitioner approached the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to direct the respondent to register a case against the accused. Pursuant to the direction issued thereon, the respondent police registered a case in crime No.101 of 2025, but final report is yet to be filed.

4.The learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.side) submits that in this case, investigation almost completed and final report would be filed within a period of two months.

5.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
