ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1538 of 2013 pending on his file and file the final report within a stipulated time period as may be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint given by one J.Deepa, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.1538 of 2013 as against the petitioner. Though the said complaint was registered as early as in the year 2013, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.1538 of 2013 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
