O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to send interview card to the petitioner for appearing in the interview for the post of Combined Engineering Services Examination. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has completed B.E.(Civil) during the year 2012 and has written the final year M.E. (Structural Engineering) during the year 2014 and she belongs to Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) Community. The respondents called for applications for competitive examination for the posts included in Combined Engineering Services Examination and the petitioner appeared for the same on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

02.03.2013. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents published three lists of selected candidates in which the petitioner's register number was found in the first two lists and the petitioner also submitted the relevant documents required by the respondents through online, however, her register number was not found in the third list. The reason for non-inclusion of her register number in the third list was also not informed to her. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3.Heard the arguments advanced on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4.Perusal of counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents would disclose that the petitioner belongs to SC(A) category and she has secured 248.5 marks in the written examination. The cut off marks under SC(A) category is 254 marks. Since the petitioner has obtained marks lesser than the cut off marks for admission to oral test, her register number was not included in the list. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for in this writ petition.
