This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2026 and reminder dated 23.02.2026 and consequently issue direction to release petitioner's property mortgaged as additional security issued by in accordance with law. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that she had purchased the property from her vendor namely Viswanathan Vagayara in the year 2017, without having knowledge about the fact that the said property has been mortgaged for security purpose to the respondent Cooperative Housing Society after the vendor has taken loan in the year 2004. After coming to know that her property was mortgaged by the seller and the said document was sent to Virudhachalam SRO instead of Mangalampettai SRO, she made a representation on 20.01.2026, followed by a reminder on 23.02.
2026, to release the property mortgaged. Since the same has not been acted upon, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 3.
the document of the petitioner's property may be released from the respondent Society.
4.Learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that if the petitioner undertakes to repay the outstanding amount, return of the document would be considered.
5.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents, this Writ Petition stands closed, directing the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2026 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
