Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.09.2020 and to issue patta in his name in respect of land in the western portion comprised in Survey No. 230/2 situated at Reddipatti Village Senthamangalam Taluk by Sub Dividing the same into Survey No. 230/6 in an extent of 1.75 acres in the light of the order dated 23.11.1987 passed by the Settlement Officer Thanjavur.

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representations made by the petitioner on 28.09.2020 wherein the petitioner has sought for issuance of patta with respect to the subject property.

2. Mr.E.Balamurugan, Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the second respondent has already called the petitioner for an enquiry on 11.11.2020 at 11.00 A.M. The learned counsel submitted that the petitioner can be present for the enquiry with all the necessary documents.

3. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the second respondent has already called the petitioner for enquiry, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
