Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to quarry and transport the quarried mineral on payment of necessary seigniorage from the lease granted government stone quarry (Karadu Promboke) measuring 1.00.0 Hectares, comprised in S.F.No.176 (Part) (Bit -7) situated in Pottanam village, Senthamangalam Taluk, Namakkal District for a period of one year and three months from the date of expiry of lease period mentioned in the lease agreement i.e from 18.8.2021 or from the date of permitting the quarry operations.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that as per Rule 8(8) of the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, extension of lease period for quarrying cannot be granted. Since the petitioner has chosen to withdraw the Writ Petition, no further adjudication is required in this Writ Petition.
