Respondents in all writ petitions Prayer in all the Writ petitions: All the Writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue an order of direction or more in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to accept application of the petitioner to take part in the recruitment process initiated vide notification No.12390/Nir5(1)/2014 dated 26.10.2015 without reference to the amendment to the general rules in part II of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinates Service Rules (Vol. I of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual 1987) vide Rule 54(B) vide G.O.Ms.No.114 dated 11.08.2010 and consequently without reference to clause 2 of the notification of the 2nd respondent in so far as the petitioner is concerned direct the respondents to implement G.O.Ms.No.98, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, dated 17.07.2006 by increasing the upper age limit of BC candidates from 32 to 40 years,SC Candidates from 35 to 45 years and MBC Candidates from 32 to 40 years respectively.

Gov.Pleader (for R1 and R2 in all writ petitions) COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners challenging the notification issued by the 2nd respondent in No.12390/Nir 5(1)/2014 dated 26.10.2015.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that pending writ petition, the Government has passed an order in G.O.(Ms) No.177, (HM-1) Department dated 24.10.2018, thereby cancelled the earlier notification in No.12390/Nir 5(1)/2014 dated 26.10.2015 issued by the 2nd respondent with regard to the process of recruitment to the post of Junior Draughting Officers and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in the writ petition. He has also placed the above said Government Order before this court.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government pleader and in the light of the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.177 (HM-1) Department dated 24.10.2018, these writ petitions in W.P.No.4272/2016, 4273/2016 and 4274/2016 are dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
