The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.01.2017 regarding inclusion of his name and re-fixation of his seniority in the post of SubInspector fit for promotion as Inspector of Police for the year 1998-99 without reference to proceedings dated 17/07/1999 and dated 11.12.1998 and pass appropriate orders.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the light of the subsequent development happens, during the pendency of this writ petition, nothing survives for adjudication and therefore, the learned counsel sought to close the writ petition as infructuous.

3. In view of the factual position, this Writ Petition is closed as infructuous.

No costs.
