ORDER

This petition is filed seeking transfer of investigation in Cr.No.26 of 2024 pending on the file of the respondent police. According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent police has not shown any interest in the investigation and failed to consider the veracity of the case, which involves huge sum of money that too in international exchange value to the tune of USD 8,55,150.10. The case is of the year 2024 and till now there is no progress in the investigation.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent police would submit that the allegations of the defacto complainant is with regard to purely business transactions, which involves huge amount of money. Further two of the accused have been arrested and some vital documents have also been collected. Therefore the investigation is in progress, which requires some time.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record.

A perusal of the complaint shows that it is a business transaction, involving huge amount of money that too in international exchange. Further two of the accused have also been arrested. Therefore there is no ground made out for transfer of investigation and mere apprehension cannot be a ground for transferring the investigation. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
