Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent/Police.

It is seen that the petitioner has sent his complaint by post to the first respondent/Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur District, Ariyalur. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to go in person and lodge his complaint before the Inspector of Police, viz., the second respondent herein and the petitioner shall also co-operate with the respondent/Police for investigation and shall provide all documents that are required by the Police for the purpose of conducting investigation. In the event of any such complaint is being lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to enquire into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the matter and register a crime, if cognizable offence is made out, by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
