ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, which was received by the respondents on 04.09.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation, requesting the respondent to reconvey the land, which was acquired in 1989 at Santhanur Village, Tiruvannamalai District, in Survey No.140/2 to an extent of 2.24 Acres. Though the said representation was received by the District Collector as early as on 04.09.2023, the same was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 8 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, which was received by the respondent on 04.09.2023, and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
