ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8 (C), 20 (b) (ii), 29 (1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.149 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 2 Kgs of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against her. Hence, he prays for grant of Anticipatory Bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 2 Kgs of Ganja. He would further submit that the petitioner is a History Sheeter (H.S.No.24/2002) and she has 49 previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are 49 previous cases as againt the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant Anticipatory Bail to the petitioner.
