O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider her representation dated 27.07.2021 and issue legal heir certificate in her favour based on the records produced by her.

2. Mr.G.Krishnaraja, learned Government Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner would state that she is the permanent resident of United States of America and and also in Chennai, where her parents were living during their lifetime. Further, her mother and father died on 30.04.1995 and 26.05.2021 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respectively and the petitioner had received the death certificates from the concerned authorities. Pursuant to the availing of death certificate, she applied for a legal certificate through e-sevail portal, where Aadhar number is mandatory. However, as she is a permanent resident of USA, she does not possess an Aadhar and thus, the petitioner submitted a representation on 19.07.2021 for the issuance of the legal heir certificate and the petitioner has not received any communication from the respondent. In view of the matter, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4. Heard both sides. In view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this court directs the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19-07-2021, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and thereafter pass an order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
