This writ of mandamus has been filed by the petitioner seeking directions to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application No.3625 to the selection to the vacant posts in Na.Ka. 1138/2017/ Po.Vi.Dhi.2, dated 30.01.2018 issued by the third respondent.
2. The petitioner belonged to Most Backward Community. He completed B.Com., degree from Bharathidasan University and he also completed Diploma in Cooperative and was appointed in a job
by the Special Officer, during the year 2001. After serving for 7 years and 3 months, he was ousted from the job, in the light of a Government Order.
3. This Court, on 14.08.2002, had passed an order regularizing all the irregular appointments made in the Cooperative Department, who are appointed prior to 01.02.2001. The petitioner has approached this Court and this Court directed the first respondents therein to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner. However, the representation of the petitioner was rejected by the first respondent.
4. During the month of November 2017, the second respondent called for applications for job vacancies for certain category of posts. On 31.01.2018, the third respondent had sent an Interview Letter issued by the third respondent, calling the petitioner for interview. Thereafter, the petitioner did not receive any communication. Aggrieved over that, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent seeking to consider the name of the petitioner for the job in the vacancy, in the light of the considerations that the petitioner had earlier experience and he also belongs to MBC. As his representation has not been considered, this writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the third respondent in a proper perspective.
6. Under such circumstances, the respondents (especially the third respondent) are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, on 08.04.2018, and to pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
