Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to dispose of the representation made by the petitioners dated 18.07.2014. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.

On 18.07.2014, the petitioners made a representation to the 2nd respondent seeking issuance of patta placing reliance upon the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vridhachalam dated 05.10.2012 and the proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, Cuddalore dated 31.05.2013. As the said representation was not considered by the 2nd respondent, the petitioners sent a legal notice on 27.01.2015 to the 3rd respondent followed by reminder letter dated 16.07.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Despite the same, no orders have been passed. Hence, the present writ petition.

In the representation dated 18.07.2014, the petitioners sought issuance of patta with reference to Survey No.149, Perangiyam Village, Thittakkudi Circle, Cuddalore District. Subsequently, the petitioners have sent a reminder letter dated 16.07.2015 to the 3rd respondent enclosing a copy of their representation dated 18.07.2014. As the same is pending consideration before the 3rd respondent, the 3rd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the said representation of the petitioners dated 18.07.2014, on merits, in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity to the petitioners as well as to third parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
