This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to cancel the patta issued in favour of the 7th respondent and her husband under UDR scheme measuring an extent of acre 1.30 cents situated in Survey No. 238/3B of Sevarapoondi village, Chetpet Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District and consequently to issue patta in favour of the petitioner comprised in Survey No.238/3B measuring an extent of acre 1.30 cents of Sevarapoondi village, Chetpet Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District at the earliest point of time as may 1/3
be fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 19.08.2016, wherein the petitioner has sought for the correction of revenue records and for issuing of patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property.

The case of the petitioner is that there was a mistake that happened at the time of conducting the UDR Scheme and a patta was issued with respect to the subject property in the name of the 7th respondent. The further case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property and he had made a representation to the second respondent to correct the mistake that happened during the UDR Scheme and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court. 3.
Heard Mr.N.Elumalai, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 6.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.08.2016 and the subsequent representation made on 19.11.2019 and conduct an enquiry by calling the petitioner and also by providing opportunity to the petitioner and the 7th respondent and pass final orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the necessary documents and also a copy of this order.
