Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant joint patta in the name of the petitioner for the property admeasuring 1 acre and 31 cents in S.No.93/3 and 4, Periyakolapadi Village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District and cancel the patta in the name of the 4th respondent.

O R D E R

Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 06.02.2009 in W.P. No. 2034 of 2009, the petitioner made a representation on 09.12.2014 to the 2nd respondent seeking cancellation of patta standing in the name of the 4th respondent and consequently, issue patta in his name with respect to the property admeasuring 1 acre and 31 cents in S.No.93/3 and 4, Periyakolapadi Village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. Subsequently, the 1st respondent, after due consideration of the order dated 06.02.2009 passed in W.P. No. 2034 of 2009, issued a memo dated 01.05.2015 directing the petitioner as well as respondents 3 and 4 to attend an enquiry. Hence, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

Considering the above, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to conclude the enquiry initiated vide proceedings in Na.Ka.M4/12399/2009 dated 01.05.2015 and pass appropriate orders, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner as well as to respondents 3 and 4, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
