JUDGMENT
This appeal is preferred by the State Transport Corporation, challenging both the aspects of liability and quantum of compensation awarded by Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal [Sub Court], Mettur in M.C.O.P.No.160 of 2004.
2. When the case came up for hearing on 24.11.2016, it was informed by the appellant counsel then on record that he was no more in the panel of the appellant and Mr.S.V.Vasantha Kumar undertook to enter appearance. The case was posted yesterday i.e., 18.01.2017, Mr.S.V.Vasanthakumar informed this Court that he is yet to receive instruction of any kind from the appellant. The appeal is about 9 years old now and this Court cannot appreciate the inadequate responsibility with which appellant prosecutes this appeal.

3. Hence, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is dismissed for default. No costs.
