With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 24.02.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the compensation awarded for his lands viz., a total extent of 3291 sq.mtrs. acquired for laying National Highways, was unfair and therefore, challenging the said compensation proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 04.07.2022, an appeal filed before the 1st respondent is still under consideration. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 24.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
