ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a limited relief. The petitioners seek an early disposal of O.S.No.376 of 2025, pending on the file of the XV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. Page No.1 of 4

2. Since no adverse order is passed against the respondent in this civil revision petition, notice to the respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

3. The suit was filed by the petitioners for recovery of possession and arrears of rent. According to the petitioners, the respondent/defendant has been dragging on the proceedings by filing applications after application. Earlier, the petition filed by the respondent/defendant seeking rejection of plaint was dismissed by the trial court. According to the petitioners, once again, another application came to be filed by the respondent/defendant seeking return of plaint, which is pending before the trial court. Further, according to the petitioners, the respondent/defendant is a defaultor in payment of rent, but despite the same, they continued to be in possession of the property owned by the petitioners.

4. After giving due consideration to the contents of this revision and the year of the suit filed by the petitioners, this Court deems it fit to Page No.2 of 4

direct the trial court to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.376 of 2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of by directing the trial court, namely the XV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.376 of 2025, within a period of one (1) year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
