Respondents PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for an issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records of one impugned order in D.O.394/2010, C.No.A3/ 06962/2009 dated 09.04.2010 passed by the 3rd respondent and the second impugned order in Rc. No. 017525/AR (2)/2011 dated 23.3.2011 passed by the 2nd respondent and the third impugned order in G.O. (2D) No.405 dated 02.08.2013 passed by the 1st respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to promote the petitioner from the Head Constable to Special Sub Inspector in the basis of the petitioner 32 years experience.

The relief sought for is to grant promotion to the petitioner for the post of Special Sub Inspector. During the relevant point of time, the writ petitioner was facing a criminal case. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner died on 20.08.2019. 2.In view of the fact that the relief is regarding promotion to the post of Special Sub Inspector and a criminal case was pending during the relevant point of time and furthermore, the writ petitioner died during the pendency of the writ petition, no further adjudication is required and the writ petition stands closed. No Costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
