ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of an enquiry except in a manner known to law, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. This petition has come up today for admission. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and I have also perused the records carefully.

3. In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence.

4. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
