(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J) The matter stands posted today under the caption 'for reporting compliance'.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the order dated 04.07.2019 passed by this Court could not be given effect to as the convict is not inclined to go on leave with the escort particularly when on the last occasion, he was permitted to do so without escort.

3.On a query raised by us, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would fairly submit that on the last occasion, the convict was permitted to go on leave without escort.

4. Considering the above, we are inclined to modify the earlier order passed by directing the respondents to permit the convict to go on leave without escort. The convict shall be released from the prison

at 10.00 a.m. on 29.07.2019 and shall return back to the prison at 5.00 p.m on 11.08.2019. However, we make it clear that during the leave period, the convict will have to report before Kandali Police Station, every day at 10.00 a.m.
