Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent police to investigate the offence as registered in FIR No.497 of 2015, dated 16.03.2015 for the offence punishable under section 341, 294(b), 323, 324 of Indian Penal Code and to file a final report before the appropriate Court. ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to investigate the offence as registered in FIR No.497 of 2015, dated 16.03.2015 and to file a final report before the appropriate Court, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard, Mr.M.L.Ramesh, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. It is seen that the Defacto Complainant in this case was assaulted by her husband and son and based on the complaint lodged by her, a case in Crime No.497 of 2015 was registered with the Police on 16.03.2015.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the defacto complainant has been discharged from the hospital and that there is a threat to her life from her husband and son.

5. Be that as it may, the police cannot keep the F.I.R pending for long. Therefore, a direction is issued to the respondent police to expeditiously conduct investigation in accordance with law and file a final report or closure report as the case may be, before the concerned Court.

6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
