Respondent Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2018 regarding grant of light duty, taking into account the Certificate issued by the Madras Medical College, Government Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine dated 13.03.2018 that the petitioner has 60% disability, within a time-frame as deem fit and property by this Court.

O R D E R

The writ petitioner is serving as a driver with the respondent Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. 2.It is the case of the writ petitioner that he met with an accident on 21.11.2017 resulting in disability, which according to the writ petitioner, is 60%. A Disability Certificate issued by the Government Hospital has been enclosed, but, in the light of the order I propose to pass, I do not delve into it and I am not expressing any opinion whatsoever on the same.

3. Notwithstanding the prayer in the writ petition, which has been set out supra, learned counsel for the writ petitioner Ms.Daisy submits that she will abridge the prayer and restrict it to a plea to mandamus the sole respondent to dispose of the representation given by the petitioner, within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The representation given by the petitioner is dated 19.03.2018 and is enclosed in the typed-set of papers (Page No.10).

5.Mr.Rajini Ramadoss, learned standing counsel for the sole respondent accepts notice and Mr.Bala Ramesh, learned Special Government Pleader, State counsel is before this Court on behalf of the standing counsel.

6.I have heard both sides and perused the affidavit. 7.In the light of the writ petitioner abridging and restricting the prayer in the aforesaid manner, the prayer as it reads now is innocuous.

8. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the sole respondent to dispose of the aforesaid representation dated 19.03.2018 given by the writ petitioner on or before the last working day of this Calender month i.e., 29.06.2018. The disposal shall be in accordance with law.

9. The order, disposing of the aforesaid representation, shall be communicated by the sole respondent to the writ petitioner within five working days from the date of disposal. The writ petition is disposed of on above terms. No costs.
