With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4

2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta, in the light of his representation dated 06.02.2024.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. According to the petitioner, he became entitled to the subject property, by virtue of the will executed by his paternal grandmother Rangammal on 01.04.1991 and after her demise on 28.11.2003, he continued to reside in the subject property along with his family members. Hence, he submitted a representation dated 06.02.2024 to the 2nd respondent, requesting to grant patta in his favour. Since no action has been taken by the 2nd respondent on the said representation, he has filed the present writ petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2024 and pass orders on the same on merits 2/4

and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
