ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2016 and issue Patta in his favour.

2. The case of the petitioner is that his father namely Rangan and his brothers namely Late.Patavattan and Ellan have jointly purchased the natham housing land comprised in S.No.367/12 to an extent of 15 cents, situated at Vittilapuram Village. After the demise of the petitioner's father and his brothers, the petitioner and other legal heirs are jointly enjoying the property. Whileso, in order to obtain patta, the petitioner made an application dated 25.10.2016 before the respondents, however, till date, the same was not considered. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 2/5

25.10.2016 and dispose of the same by issuing patta in his favour, as expeditiously as possible.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for the said order being passed and he fairly conceded that the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2016 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.

6. This Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. 26.09.2022 skt 3/5
