ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 27.05.2014 and investigate it in accordance with law.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.

It is seen that the complaint dated 27.05.2014 given by the petitioner to the Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam District has been forwarded to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sirkali by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam. This petitioner has not impleaded the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sirkali as a party respondent.

Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to approach the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sirkali, in person, along with a copy of this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 27.05.2014. On receipt of such complaint, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sirkali, is directed to conduct enquiry and take action thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.

With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
