Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2015 and to delete the name of the 3rd respondent in Patta No. 197 in respect of Survey No. 61/8D situated at Melchettipuattu Village, Thiruvannamalai Taluk & District and not to grant patta to the 3rd respondent for Survey No. 61/8C. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.

After approaching the jurisdictional Civil Court and obtaining a decree, which has also been confirmed by the First Appellate Court, the petitioner made three representations dated 1.09.2015, 23.09.2015 and 10.10.2015 to the revenue authorities seeking to delete the name of 3rd respondent in patta No. 197 in respect of Survey No. 61/8D situated at Melchettipuattu Village, Thiruvannamalai Taluk & District. In https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the said representations, the petitioner has also requested that no patta shall be issued to the 3rd respondent in respect of Survey No. 61/8C. As no action is forthcoming, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.10.2015, on merits, in accordance with law and after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner as well as to the 3rd respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
