ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.480 of 2021 on the file of the 5th respondent / J4, Kotturpuram Police Station, Chennai - 600 085 to CBCID Police, Chennai or to some other agency.

2. A reading of FIR shows that the case has been registered for the offence under Section 302 IPC and Section 174 (3) of Cr.P.C. and the investigation is pending. The grievance of the petitioner is that so far the respondent has not arrested any accused.

3. Since, the FIR is registered under Section 174 (3) Cr.P.C., the contention of the petitioner cannot be accepted. However, the respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and take action in accordance with law.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
