ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The prayer is for a mandamus for consideration of the petitioner's representations dated 22.10.2025 and 20.03.2026 releasing his brother, who is a convict lodged in Central Prison, Cuddalore under the 1994 policy for premature release.
2. We have heard Mr.Pugalenthi, for the petitioner and Mr.Malarvannan, learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) for the respondents.
3. No action has been thus far and since the petitioner's representations are admittedly pending, it is appropriate that the same be considered by the authorities and decided in accordance with law. Let the exercise be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from date of uploading of this order.
4. With this and as nothing survives for adjudication in the matter, this writ petition (crl) is closed. No costs.
