PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.10.2015 (served on the first respondent on 31.10.2015) and to pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. ORDER

Mr.P.R.Dilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the first respondent. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the limited nature of the relief to be granted, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal without ordering notice to the second respondent.

It is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent that a representation had been considered and orders have been passed on 29.11.2015 by the first respondent, in and by which, the first respondent rejected the request made by the second respondent, who is none other than the brother of the petitioner, for disconnection of electricity supply. In so far as the request of the petitioner for transfer of electricity service connection in his name is concerned, the first respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.10.2015, if necessary documents are produced.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will appear before the first respondent and produce necessary documents.

4. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed with a direction to the petitioner to produce all relevant documents before the first respondent within a period of two weeks. On such production of the documents, the first respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.10.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter. No costs.
